ARGOLF putters and ironsย are milled in the heart of Brittany, France โ located near theย mythical forest of Broceliande, home of King Arthur. Because of its stature and excellence in manufacturing, each ARGOLF putter is named after an Arthurian legend.
The inspiration for theย MORDRED putterย is aย hybridย of childhood fascination and a historical legend. As a child,ย ARGOLF Founder, Olivier Colas,ย was mesmerized by the sleek design and outstanding performance of Formula 1 race cars. The aerodynamics involved in this racing style was even more interesting for young Colas. His family owned Armor Meca, a company responsible for manufacturing parts used by the world’s leading companies in the aerospace, defense, submarine, and medical industries including European Space Agency, Airbus, and Safran.
Mordred was a notorious traitor who fought King Arthur at the Battle of Camlann, where he was killed and Arthur was fatally wounded. The images depicting Mordred are reflected in the winged design of theย MORDRED mallet putter, which aids inย stabilizationย andย alignmentย and its coloring.ย
With aย lower center of gravityย that surpasses allย mallet puttersย in theย ARGOLF Broceliande Collection, theย MORDRED putterย boasts one of theย highest MOIs available. Precisely milled from a solid block of aeronautical-grade 7175 Aluminum, the MORDRED appeals to the eye with itsย clean and sophisticated look. Using the most advanced technology, theย MORDRED mallet putterย is shaped through a 5-axis milling process that differentiates itself from its competitors in design and performance due to itsย aerodynamic features.
Featuring ARGOLF’s patentedย C-Claw technologyย for a more consistent roll, theย MORDRED putter’sย head is finished with a sharp grey or green-camo color. It looks just as spectacular as it performs with a black PVD KBS shaft.ย
